With more than 18 years of experience in special education, Melanie Bradshaw has had the privilege of helping students, families, and school districts navigate the world of IEPs with clarity and care. She began her career in 2006 as an Intervention Specialist and has supported students with a wide range of needs, including ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, cognitive developmental delays, traumatic brain injuries, severe behavioral challenges, and other neurodivergent needs. Melanie has worked with students from kindergarten through twelfth grade in a variety of educational settings, including resource rooms, self-contained classrooms, separate day schools, alternative schools for behavioral needs, extended school year programs, and secure residential facilities.

Melanie holds a bachelor's degree in Special Education and a master's degree in Educational Technology. She has also completed all coursework toward a second master's degree in Social Work with a concentration in Therapy. This combination of education and real-world experience allows her to support not only the academic side of special education but also the emotional and behavioral challenges that affect how students learn. Whether she is coaching a parent through a tough IEP meeting or training a school district team on compliance, Melanie brings her full heart and knowledge to every interaction.

She created The IEP Pros™ because she saw a gap. Families often feel overwhelmed, confused, or excluded from decisions about their child's education. Backed by decades of hands-on experience, formal training, and advanced education, Melanie offers personalized coaching, staff training, IEP audits, and program development to help school teams improve their special education systems. She understands the pressure educators face and helps create clear, supportive structures that allow students and teams to thrive.

When Melanie is not working with families and schools, you can usually find her traveling, dancing salsa, binge watching reruns of 227, Amen, and Golden Girls, or wandering the aisles of Burlington and Home Goods even when she does not need a thing. She enjoys listening to podcasts about human behavior, spending time with her parents and friends, doing her own nails, and exploring graphic design projects just for fun.
